Radiant Images Photography: Our Florida Family Vacation

Since I rarely put our family on the blog, I thought I’d change that for once! We recently spent a week on Clearwater Beach, FL and, of course, a little photographing was involved! We had a blast just being together, laughed A LOT and caught up on some reading and sleeping! We also were able to meet up with a couple of photographer friends who were visiting in Orlando at the same time. They drove over for the afternoon and we had a great visit and even got in some beach pictures. Here are a few highlights from our trip.

Another awesome family graced the front on my lens yesterday. They chose a great location with several historic buildings and items around. We had a blast…from a few squinting issues, to staying out of the mud, to catching a baby frog (Jumpy), it was a very lively session with these three adorable boys. Here’s just one of many great images of this delightful and energetic family.

Jack DuBach is the newest member of the FACES Team and he is representing Bowling Green High School Class of 2012. Jack is passionate about FOOTBALL and plays for the Bowling Green Bobcats. We are thrilled to announce Elizabeth Perret, our newest FACES Team Model representing Van-Far High School Class of 2012. I’ve known Elizabeth’s mom since childhood. We grew up together and were good friends throughout our school years. This made it especially fun having Elizabeth in the studio today. Where has the time gone? Elizabeth, or as her mom calls her, Liz has a wonderful personality all her own. She is a sweet, full-spirited young lady and I am honored to work with her during her senior year. I am also looking forward to her full senior session in a few months! Welcome Elizabeth…thank you for choosing Radiant Images for your senior pictures and becoming part of the FACES Team for 2012!

We are off to a great beginning with our all-new FACES Team Model Program for 2012. So far, we have interviewed two team models from Holt High School in Wentzville Missouri and have already photographed one for their widescreen wallets cards to hand out. Next week we are interviewing potential models from Van-Far High School in Vandalia Missouri and a model applicant from Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green Missouri. We are looking forward to a very successful year for this new program and the models are excited as well. They have a chance to win a brand new iPad 2 wifi 16gb in black or white plus LOTS of CASH!! I LOVE my job…just sayin’! We had an incredible senior session this afternoon. I simply can’t wait to share a sneak with you all. Look for one sometime on Friday. Marissa is simply stunning! Today proves why I’m sold out to seniors! I love their passion for life with a little slice of innocence on the side, they are just so much fun to be around. Be a Radiant Senior!!

It’s hard to believe how quickly children grow up. This is never more apparent than when I begin photographing a child from birth through one year old! Logan is such a cutie pie…usually a little more sober than mom would like, but always adorable. Today was no exception!

Midwest Blizzard, 2011…well, snow storm anyway!

Monday, January 31, the precipitation began to fall in the evening and it continued all day and evening Tuesday, February 1. As the snow came to an end late Tuesday night, the wind picked up and proceeded to blow and drift the already 8 + inches into 2-3′ drifts around our house. Here are a few pics captured during the storm.

My daughter and I just returned last evening from a mini-vacation to the Palm Beach Florida area. We had a wonderful time and even got in a quick photo shoot on the beach one day. I cherish the times spent with her, I know I won’t have her with me much longer. They grow up way too quick, don’t they? This trip marked her 20th birthday. Wow, how time has flown by! Enjoy these few images of a beautiful young woman, inside and out…(I may be slightly biased!)
